Northwest Argentina is an enormously photogenic and pristine region consisting of the provinces of Catamarca, Jujuy, Salta, Santiago del Estero and Tucumán. In his lively and educational presentation, Argentinian photographer and documentary filmmaker Ossian Lindholm will take you on a photographic tour of his native Northwest Argentina and its incredible landscape diversity consisting of five distinct biomes: the sub-Andean humid sierras of the east, fertile valleys, and the canyons, the high mountains of the Andes and the Altiplano or Puna.
If you were unable to make Ossian's Wildlife talk at the Griffin, he will be doing a second talk at Hunt's Camera & Video. At this exclusive presentation Ossian shares how to capture stunning wildlife photographs while sharing his lifelong mission, Para conservar, primero hay que conocer(To conserve, first you must know). This mission has been a driving force in his work and he'll discuss the role of learning about animals and nature through photography, how conservation photography can protect our planet and how your own photographs can raise awareness and be an agent for positive change in our fragile world. Seating is very limited! PLEASE RSVP.
In this weeklong retreat, Ossian will teach you to increase your visual awareness and to intuitively use the camera to connect, compose, enhance and expand your mindfulness and personal vision. In the spirit of Mindful Travel, there will be less focus on “taking” pictures and more on slowly and deeply capturing the essence and magic of moments and places. By embracing serendipity, we will enjoy the fine art of wandering and we will connect more intimately with our natural surroundings.ONLY 3 spots left, RSVP
